CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) – Canton police are looking for two people who attempted to steal an ATM by driving through a Michigan movie theater's front entrance.

A Canton Police Department spokesman says two suspects smashed through the Emagine movie theater in the Detroit suburb early Monday. He says surveillance video shows they tried and failed to pull the machine from the lobby. They got back into the Ford van and drove out of the theater.

The theater's assistant manager tells the Detroit news the damage didn't disrupt business. He says a restoration company has cleaned and covered up the damaged entrance and the theater is showing movies.

Police are investigating the incident.
