Police: Michigan woman tied up in home invasion

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) – Police are investigating a Sterling Heights home invasion that left a 61-year-old woman tied up and her house robbed.

WXYZ-TV reports (http://bit.ly/Y7NPoC ) police on Monday were investigating the Sunday robbery in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights. They say the woman's daughter discovered her bound on Sunday. The daughter called 911 to report that burglars had tied up her mother and stolen miscellaneous items.

The mother went to the hospital for a minor head injury and was released.

Police arrived on the scene quickly but say they don't have suspect information. It's unclear what was taken or how valuable it was.
